Township Planning Commission

Want To Help Out?

Do you want to have a say about what gets built in Conestoga Township, about how we can preserve our rural character, protect our environment, and plan for our future? You can help do these things as a member of the Conestoga Township Planning Commission.

Conestoga Township is seeking applicants to fill one vacancy on the Township Planning Commission. The Planning Commission is a volunteer group which is responsible for making recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on issues and policies that relate to the Township’s growth, the preservation of our rural character and the protection of our environment. The Planning Commission also reviews and makes recommendations on proposed subdivisions, land developments, zoning ordinances, subdivision and land development ordinances, capital improvements, comprehensive planning policies, advises the zoning hearing board, and advises on other regulations and related matters. The Planning Commission typically meets the fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 pm, as necessary. Members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors and serve four-year terms and must be residents of the Township. No experience is necessary; all that is needed are people who want to preserve, protect and improve Conestoga Township.

4th Monday of the month at the Township Office by request
